A Good Cast is Worth Repeating

This is a list of people that I mention often in my journal entries but do not typically describe who they are (for example, I do not need to include who "ma" is, because I believe that you, Constant Reader, would know who that is). If you find that I mention someone that you don't know, let me know. I'm so lucky to know such amazing people.

Mike or Mr. Lake
The man in my life. Whenever I refer to "Mike", I mean Mr. Lake. He has his own website that he never updates. He is my husband, my best friend, my lover, my partner, my teacher, my student. He is everything in my life and I can't imagine life without him. He makes me laugh and cry and knows where all my buttons are.

Ella or Els or e
My little sister, aged 22. The artist. She has her own website too. Sometimes she irritates me. Sometimes I think she's very cool. Sometimes she thinks I'm cool and I feel good about myself. She's a much better writer than I am. She's a much better artist than I am. Creatively, she's tops. She's the artistic brain while I'm the technical brain. Together, we would take over the world!

Jim
I took a plant systematics class with Chad. Chad was very good friends with Jim. We lived in the same dorm, Allen Hall, and we frequently spotted each other in the basement computer lab. I thought his group was too cool for school, always playing Marathon or surfing the web. The kind of crowd I desperately wanted to be in. Eventually we were introduced and that began a 7-year-still-going-strong friendship. He's extremely intimidating when I first met him, but learned that he's a real sweetheart inside. He lives in Florida now. He also has his own website. Jim schemes for world domination and Mike enjoys the sport of shooting him down. He works as an electric guy. I worry about him all the time.

Kim
My cousin. She lives with my sister in my parents' old house. She works in the IT industry, but with security and in a more client-presentable position. She's very cool, very well-put together. Hip. She wears great clothes that she gets for a song because of her thrifty ways.

Sumiyar
Sumiyar isn't her real name, because she's not yet comfortable using her real name online. She's my Little Sister, as part of the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program. I see her every two weeks. She's 17, yet hasn't been exposed to as many things as I was at her age. So, I spend my time exposing her to new things. We love trying new cuisines and trekking around New York City and New Jersey.

Sara
Sara, "no h". I met her on line for a Viggo Mortensen signing in late spring 2002. She's a college student in New York City. She writes and reads a lot of slash fiction (Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings). She's my 'dinner and a movie' date. We have similar quirky tastes and she looks amazing covered in glitter. She also keeps a journal.

Constant Reader
That's you, whomever you are on the other side of the screen. Thanks for visiting.
